Riding Camps

Session I: June 26-JuNE 30, 2017 Eventing Camp for all level of riders

Session II: July 5-7, 2016 Adv Eventing Camp

Maple Ridge Sport Horse Camp is a combined riding camp for children of all riding levels age 6 and up. All participants are grouped by experience and campers are matched with horses for their level. Safety is of most importance as well as having fun while working with horses.

Each one week session provides a variety of riding lessons and stable management topics. Students learn to properly and safely groom, tack and ride horses. Stable management includes stall and barn maintenance, horse health and injury issues as well as general horse information.

Head instructors have a B. S. degree in Equine Studies with over 20 years of experience in showing horses in several different disciplines. The assistant instructors are also experienced horse enthusiasts either owning their own horse or involved in lesson programs and showing horses.

Campers arrive at 9:00 a.m. to start their day either by riding or learning hands on in five different areas of horse management. Lunch is provided for the horse hungry campers along with a snack in the afternoon. The afternoon session begins with campers switching programs/lessons with the morning group and the day ends with a fun game and a review of the days activities and what was learned. Parents arrive a 4:00 to pick up the tired but happy campers excited to come back the next day. Early drop off and late pick up are accepted if needed for a fee of $5 per half hour.

ADV Eventing Camp is for riders already safely walk, trot and cantering who want to advance their skills in dressage and jumping. This is a shortened week of Monday through Thursday and is more instensive.

Each session includes a non-refundable $100 registration fee due by June 15. Campers are allowed to bring their own horse for an additional fee of $50 per week and a current Coggins and health certificate.

All campers are required to wear approved helmets and appropriate footwear. We have a supply of riding helmets that can be leased for $10 per week.

Campers may particiate both weeks if applicable and disired.
